Kaweesi Murder Suspect Collapses.

One of the eight people arrested for the murder of  Kaweesi yesterday collapsed at the International Crimes Division (ICD) of the High Court, where he had appeared for hearing of his bail application.

Yusuf Nyanzi and his co-accused who have been in jail since May 2017 were appearing before ICD judge Justice Lydia Mugambe.

Yusuf Nyanzi claims he’s not had proper feeding in jail yet he suffers severe ulcers.

During the hearing some of the accused turned irate and shouted that they are tired of their delayed trial, since their committal for trial by the Nakawa Chief Magistrates court

Justice Mugambe advised the Prisons Authorities to ensure that the accused person brought before her are always in better health conditions to avoid such incidences.

The bail hearing itself did not take place as scheduled, as the state prosecutor Marion Ben Bella asked court for an adjournment to enable her side study and verify the documents which were presented to them by the applicants.

On 24th October 2017, Nakawa grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi committed the eight suspects for trial having receiving confirmation from the office of the DPP that investigations in the matter were complete and there was evidence to sustain the charges against them.

All the accused persons are indicted with charges of Murder and Terrorism

According to their committal papers, the accused with others still at large on 17th March 2017 at Kulambiro Nakawa Division in Kampala district and murdered kaweesi_suspects Andrew Felix Kaweesi, His body guard Kenneth Erau and his driver Godfrey Wambewa
