A New Vision journalist was on Tuesday abducted by armed men and driven off to an unknown destination.
Mr Charles Etukuri, was seized by men in military fatigues as he was getting out of New Vision offices located at Jinja Road Industrial Area.
According to Etukuri’s employers, the senior reporter, attached to the weekend, was picked near New Vision offices on Tuesday afternoon, around 2:00pm.
Reports indicate that a vehicle registration number UAH 038A, double cabin, white in color, had parked near New Vision by 10:00am.
The occupants of the vehicle were six, but 5 were in military uniform, while one, a driver was in plain clothes.
Etukuri’s abduction is suspected to be related to the stories he had written in the recent past, the last of which was a story about the death of a finish national, who died at The Pearl of Africa Hotel in Kampala.
The story said some ISO operatives had been implicated in the death of the Finish national.
